TheEatingMachine: You’re right, it looks terrible – but sounds cool and and yummy!
mecharedneck: That would be perfect in one of those brain jello molds they sell around this time of year.
WendyLRogers3: Possible ideas:
Lemon instead of lime jello.
Blending the pears and cream cheese instead of just mashing them.
Using whipped topping or mock Devonshire cream on top.
3 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup heavy whipping cream
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and salt; stir until well blended. Stir in whipping cream. With an electric mixer, beat mixture until stiff. Store in refrigerator.
Kidvette2004: 1 Can 27 oz. Pears
1 Can 16 oz Pears.
1 Large Box Lime Jello
1 Small Box Lime Jello
2 Blocks Cream Cheese (8 oz. each)
Drain pairs, saving juice (by using the lid as a filter)
Mash pears and cream cheese until well mixed and bite sized
In another bowl make Jello (3 cups boiling water) and mix well.
Substitute Pear Juice for cold water (3 cups) using water to make quantity needed
Mix Jello into pears and mix well. Cover and refrigerate (for 4-5hours)
Enjoy!
