Fatpandasneezes: Just wanted to note, OP, I think this is beautiful. Even if it isn’t super practical.

**Ingredients**
– 12 oz. bag fresh cranberries, washed
– 3/4 cup orange juice
– 1/2 cup real maple syrup
– 1 ounce bourbon
– 1 medium orange, zested and diced
**Instructions**
– In a medium pot over medium high heat, add orange juice, maple syrup, and bourbon. Bring to a simmer then add the cranberries. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 5-7 minutes stirring occasionally. Cranberries will begin to pop and release their juice making the sauce thicker.
– Transfer sauce to a clean sheet pan and place in the freezer to cool for 10 minutes.
– Zest the peel of an orange and set aside. Peel and segment the orange removing as much of the white pith as possible. Dice the orange.
– Combine the chilled cranberry sauce with the orange zest and chunks in a serving bowl.
– Enjoy with turkey, pork, lamb, or chicken.
shmortisborg: Why is it in an acorn squash? Looks like it cant even hold in the amount of cranberry sauce in it, try to move it and itll spill all over. On a side note, acorn squash is really delicious, especially tempura fried. I know that everything is good fried, but Im telling you the nutty sweetness of the acorn squash is amazing. Just get a bowl for the cranberries.
butterflavoredsalt: Looks good, might have to try this with a little peach and ginger instead of oranges. Yum.
somevelvetmorning: This looks amazing!
Okie-Doke: Everything in this are things I love. Thanks! I will certainly be making this.
bombalicious: Oh ffs! The pic is nice. The sauce looks great. No it isn’t runny, it was put in the squash a bit warm. When it cools it will solidify. Christ, just move along if you don’t like the idea…..move along.
fektard: I actually LOVE that this is served out of a squash.
