dzernumbrd: Looks delish Mr DeCaux, good to see you’re triggering everyone with a return to the grill.
allonsyyy: The spices you chose are basically what’s in Old Bay.
Excellent choices, I’m on an Old Bay kick atm.
SeekerInShadows: Keep doing you, dude. Living the dream with that grill.
Vanarik: Looks great, you may want to use a mandolin when cutting the potatoes though for a more uniform potato slice.

Before people ask, this can be cooked the same way in the oven.
Thank you for all the support you have all given me!

One of my all time favourite side dishes is potato bake! The soft, creamy potatoes with the melted cheese makes this dish a winner!
Ingredients
* Potatoes
* 1 Onions
* Heavy Cream
* Grated Cheese
* Olive oil
* 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
* 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
* 1 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
* 1/2 Tbsp Ground Celery Seeds
* Salt and Pepper
Step 1: To Start Off, Slice Two Onions Into Strips.
You will need 5 to 6 large potatoes.
Cut them into slices about a ¼ of an inch thick or half a cm.
Add the potatoes to a large bowl.
Step 2: Add to the Potatoes.
* Salt and Pepper
* 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
* 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
* 1 tbsp Sweet Paprika
* 1/2 Tbsp Ground Celery Seeds
Finally, a bit of olive oil to help the seasoning stick to the potatoes.
Mix the potatoes with the seasoning, making sure they are fully coated.
Step 3: Make a Single Layer Using the Seasoned Potatoes.
Then a thin layer of the sliced onion.
Followed by a thin layer of grated cheese.
Pour over some cooking cream.
Step 4: Repeat the Layers Until You Get Close to the Top of the Pan or Dish.
For the final layer add extra grated cheese and no cream.
Step 5: Add Your Lit Chimney of Charcoal to the BBQ.
Setup the BBQ for indirect cooking.
This could also be done in the oven.
Step 6: Cover With Foil.
The reason for covering in foil is so the potatoes bake in their own steam.
Also, we don’t want the cheese to brown yet.
Cook the potatoes with the lid on for 1 hour.
After 30 minutes rotate the pan.
Step 7: After an Hour the Potatoes Should Be Nice and Soft.
Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes uncover so the cheese can become golden brown.
Step 8: Done!
davelog: Man, that looks delish. I’d write the recipe down but I’ll just catch it again when it gets reposted in a few days.
HoraceGrantGlasses: And in 3 hours your potatoes will taste delicious
Rustymetal14: I don’t necessarily agree with this guy’s incessant use of the grill, but what I do agree with is the container to bowl use of spices. All those other cooking shows with everything pre measured in its own glass bowl, I’m not doing that many dishes!
colonelbackhand: Looks amazing! Although I shudder at the thought of cleaning the pan.
thelakenorth: Okay so yesterday I ate 2/3 of my baked potato before I realized there was a worm in it, gagged, and swore I would never eat a potato again.
But this… I would totally eat this.
potatoe01: It’s just like a potato lasagna…
It looks delicious!
PlimBloid: Yeah, by have you had Hashbrown casserole from Cracker Barrel?
hockeyrugby: I imagine this being much better if you shred the potatoes (has brown style) and then add the the crap etc and mix.
ynocfyinco: God damn it! You got me again!
anonimityorigin: r/Gifrecipes has shown me to use paprika on everything.
sarovan: Curved. Swords.
Deztrick: U/sashameows I’m hungry
Rashmi_2: Too tasty
itsachance: F. Bring that over here right now.
Helenius: Why Onion powder? You are already using onions.

plasticluthier: So a crude version of dophinoise potato then?
Sweepy_time: I closed the gif the second i saw the grill.
boogerbogger: god JUST FUCK OFF WITH THE ONIONS IN EVERY FUCKING RECIPE. disgusting crunchy little shits.
