alextoria: > 1 tbsp garlic power
*dumps half the bottle*
I approve.
totalgej: I like the exact dosage of those powders. Its exactly how i measure stuff.
PM_ME_2DISAGREEWITHU: This is one of those “fuck with it till you like it” recipes.
There’s a million ways to make bbq sauce and it’s really up to what you like.
I use onions and garlic and the heavy application of an immersion blender. I add homemade chili powder, whiskey, honey, mustard, and liquid smoke on top of what Greg is using. And lemon juice instead of vinegar.
Some Szechuan sauce also add some extra tang.
I also simmer it for a very long time.
You can’t go wrong. Everyone should make their own at least once. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re doing it wtong. It’s bbq sauce, the only rule is you gotta get some on ya.
Anders157: would recommend some liquid smoke for bonus flavor

Thank you for all the support you have all continue to give me!
Please check out my channel which has a whole lot of other recipes and subscribe if you like what you find.
HonProfDrEsqCPA: Every taste is different. I would personally add more vinegar and black pepper, maybe take out a cup of ketchup and replace with a cup of mustard. Or do the whole thing mustard.
F_sphere: The way a little bit spills over the edge of the jar in the beginning hurts more with every replay
bigpig1054: i make my own sauce
equal parts ketchup and brown sugar as the base
then add worchestershire and soy sauces
garlic and onion powder, pepper and salt, cayenne pepper for flavor
how much depends on how much base I’m working with. Our recipes are similar except you dont do equal parts ketchup and sugar and I probably use a lot more worchestershire sauce than you do
RunningInSquares: Another great post and it looks delicious but oh god having to watch you miss that pour into the jar twice just killed me inside haha.
But othereise excellent stuff. Always like seeing your content around here!
grevenilvec75: mmm looks good. I’ll have to try it
pm_ur_itty_bittys: Question: what does the butter do? Is it necessary or can you obtain it’s function with different ingredients? Thanks.
fatuousfred: I like to cook down diced onions first and then add my ingredients. Also, when you use ketchup, try to use the “organic” stuff. It just seems to taste better. And for ribs, add a healthy amount of coffee grounds.
aDumbGorilla: You made a premade sauce by adding spices to a different premade sauce.
