1.5 oz cinnamon stick infused bourbon
.5 oz apple jack
4 apple slices
.5 oz lime juice
Ginger beer
**PREPARATION**
Infuse 3 cinnamon sticks in your favorite bourbon for 2 days
Slice apple into 1 inch chunks
Add to shaker tin
Add fresh lemon juice
Muddle well
Add Apple Jack andcinnamon infused bourbon
Shake well with ice
Strain over ice into moscow mule mug
Top with ginger beer
Slice apple garnish
Grill apple slice
Garnish w/ grilled apple slice and cinnamon stick

tomjonesdrones: A twist on “an old classic Moscow mule” would have been using vodka, not bourbon. I get it you’re trying to peddle to the masses, but don’t intentionally spread misinformation like that. It’s how things get lost.
A mule uses lime juice and ginger beer.
Moscow = vodka
London = gin
Dublin = Irish whisky
Kentucky = bourbon
There may be other regional variations, but I’m not familiar with them myself.
A mule does *NOT* muddle fruit nor does it add simple syrup, as you have done so in your recipe.
It looks tasty if you’re hungry for apples but it’s not a Moscow mule, and it’s a stretch to call it a mule at all.

Cocktail recipes are unique for a purpose.
You don’t ask for a martini with onions instead of olives, you ask for a Gibson.
You don’t ask for a Screwdriver with Grapefruit juice instead of Orange juice, you ask for a Greyhound.
You don’t ask for a Bloody Mary with Tequila instead of Vodka, you ask for a Bloody Maria.
And the list goes on.
Bottom line, when you create a cocktail that substitutes one ingredient for another, it’s called something different. Let alone when you start adding other ingredients, methodologies, and substituting the core alcohols involved.
This is as much of a Moscow Mule as a Pina Colada is a Mai Tai.
