markercookie: This recipe will make 2 loafs of biscotti
.75 of a stick of butter (melted)
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2.5 cups of flour
1 cup of cocoa powder
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
.5 cup of hazelnuts (chopped)
.5 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp of milk
– melt butter and let cool
– beat eggs and sugar
– add butter and vanilla
– add dry ingredients (except for hazelnuts and chocolate chips)
– mix until combined
– mix in milk and combine
if too dry, add another Tbsp of milk
– divide into 2 equal parts
– turn out onto lightly floured surface
– shape into 2 16 inch by 2.5 inch logs
– flatten logs slightly
– brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar
– bake @ 300 degrees for 30 minutes
– slice and bake @ 225 degrees for 10 minutes
– flip and bake for another 10 minutes at 225 degrees
