TheBottomOfTheTop: I wish this weren’t called cake. It’s more of a chewy granola bar. I don’t mind vegan recipes, but this one is rather offputting.
facialscanbefatal: Hard pass on this one.
littlesoubrette: Please put whatever diet/health keywords like “raw” or “vegan” in the title. These kinds of recipes are a hard pass for a lot of people who want to eat normal food. “Seed cake” intrigued me but I don’t want to be bothered with granola bars masquerading as dessert. If I wanted to eat vaguely lemon flavored dried fruit mashed with seeds, I’d eat a Lara bar.
If you want to get people interested in vegan or raw recipes you gotta make them good enough to replace a real cake made with flour, sugar, eggs, and butter. Promising us a “cake” and then giving us a fruit and seed power bar isn’t a good way to open people’s minds to new foods.
Or just say from the start that it’s an imitation Lara bar and not a cake. I’d have zero issue with your post if you said it was a raw, vegan Lara bar dupe and didn’t try to convince us it is a real cake.
ToxicAdamm: I’m surprised people are negative about this one, I think it looks great.
fabybacenelson: I could tell this was raw vegan from the first frame, those desserts just have that look about them.
I’m not a huge fan of this recipe, but I disagree that it needs to be tagged vegan. It’s a 30 second long gif, if you’re that that you’re never going to like something made only from fruit, veg, and nuts then at most half a minute of your life was wasted. There are plenty of bad gif recipes you’re never going to make that you’ve still watched, and yet they don’t get a call for being tagged “cake mix recipe” or “pre made pizza dough” or whatever else gifrecipes dislikes.
bilbiblib: This looks amazing. And, it fits into Whole30 or paleo guidelines. Fucking awesome!
