EstherNe: Would it mess up the recipe if I just loaded it up with berries?
DougEECummings: Full recipe from [TipHero](https://tiphero.com/raspberry-clafoutis/)
**RASPBERRY CLAFOUTIS**
Serves 4 to 6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
**INGREDIENTS**
* Butter, for greasing pan
* 3 eggs
* ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
* ¼ cup sugar
* ⅔ cup whole milk
* Pinch of salt
* 6 ounces fresh raspberries
* Powdered sugar, for dusting
**DIRECTIONS**
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9-inch oven-safe pan with butter.
1. In a blender, add the eggs, flour, sugar, milk and salt. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until it’s fully mixed and frothy. The mixture will be very liquidy.
1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Spread the raspberries on top.
1. Bake on the middle rack for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the custard is firm and golden brown.
1. Remove from oven. Let the clafoutis cool slightly, and then dust with the powdered sugar.
skraptastic: Brandy…you missed the brandy. Can’t be a clafoutis without Brandy!
TheHumanite: Y’know, I didn’t know what clafoutis was before coming here and i gotta say, I’m glad this recipe isn’t like a lot of recipes I see on here.
3 eggs
Some milk
Some cream
Some clafoutis
Bake at 350
Jurmungolo: Is this closer to an omelette in taste or a cake
huxley2112: I come to the comments on every gifrecipe mostly because I recognize something missing or major step that defines the dish, and I want to see if someone else caught it. I have no idea what the fuck a clafoutis is. So this time here I am, looking though comments to find out what is missing on this tutorial.
Edit: So this is missing brandy. What else?
ch319901: I think I’ve made this with lemon peel in it, too.
TheLadyEve: I love clafoutis! It’s also very delicious with cherries, which are really nice this time of year.
Kozlow: How do you pronounce this?
Thatgoldengolem: why in cast iron.
hells_fortune: i like how simple it is
Darkmetrics: Looks delicious!
defunktpistol: Not enough raspberries… imo
Seventy_x_7: YUM
babecave: u/tylerseher pls
100percent_right_now: does this taste eggy with 3 eggs in 1 pans worth?
HeatIntoxication: Thumbnail looked like a combo lock. Weird.
JadaNeedsaDoggie: I’m trying this tomorrow morning. I just picked a shit-ton of fresh raspberries tonight. Seriously, like I had to freeze about 5 1qt freezer bags full.
corylaflamme: Calfoutis sounds like it could be a name of an overweight dragon in a book.
xmonster: Drucas
Ragingsquism: Is this served hot or cold?
gunnapackofsammiches: Anybody have experience making these with non-dairy substitutes? Any tips?
PMMEDEMTADDIES: Like a quice?
TheSparrow16: I just made a clafoutis last week but with nectarines. It was delicious!
headfirst: Just be careful not to overcook this. It will be pretty rubbery. But it’s really awesome when cooked perfectly.
Fathergimpy: Bad eyesight, read that as Raspberry Clitoris.
Zanye1618: That dough was THICC
_________FU_________: Isn’t this basically a german pancake with more eggs?
mrgraff: I think I have a backwoods cousin named Clafoutis.
inablendersavinlives: In a blender savin lives…
namastrange: Minor detail perhaps, but isn’t clafoutis fruit covered with rich batter, not rich batter with fruit dropped in?
uuuuuuuuuuuuum: So, pancake frittata?
tenchu11: How can I save this recipe for my next work potluck?!? So simple !!!!
bjakubb: Comment for future reference
Mestyness: Would preheating the pan and then pouring the batter in be a good or bad idea?
justinsayin: I have this in the oven right now
TheMidnight_Rider: I found this so disgusting as a kid, still do. It’s like a dessert quiche.
RaptorF22: In the grand scheme of this recipe (and others for that matter), what does a pinch of salt really do here? You’re not going to taste it so it has to have some other purpose. I have always wondered this.
karmisson: So a clafoutis is basically a fruited quiche?
lieutenantdam: Will this turn out the same if I whisk it like a normal fucking person?
Gortonis: 6 months ago this same recipe was posted but with cherries.
