Wolf_Of_1337_Street: I like how it shows them picking the chives lol
maddsskills: I had no idea you could use chives after they start flowering.

**Bacon & Chive Skillet Cheese Dip**
### Ingredients
* 5 strips bacon-diced
* 1 clove garlic-minced
* 8 oz. cream cheese
* 8 oz. Fontina cheese-diced
* salt & pepper
* 1 Tbsp. chives
* baguette
* 1 Tbsp. olive oil
### Instructions
1. In a skillet, cook 5 slices of diced bacon until crisp.
2. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside. Pour off all but 1 Tbsp. of bacon drippings.
3. Return skillet to low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
4. Stir in cream cheese until melted.
5. Season with a pinch of salt and a few cracks of black pepper.
6. Toss in diced Fontina cheese and stir until combined.
7. Turn off heat and sprinkle bacon over the top.
8. Preheat broiler.
9. Slice baguette into 1/2 inch slices.
10. Arrange on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
11. Broil for a couple of minutes until brown around the edges.
12. Place skillet under broiler for 5-7 minutes (or until Fontina cheese is melted and top is a bubbly golden brown).
13. Remove from broiler and sprinkle the top with chopped chives. Serve with toasted baguette immediately.
munaught1: Salt to taste before adding cheese is a sure fire way to make sure that the dip is too salty.
the_c00ler_king: Broil means grill?
tylerbhobbs: maybe salt at the end?
ElephantintheRoom404: Where’s the garlic rub on those crustinis?
delightful_caprese: Why would you brush the bread with oil and not bacon fat? C’mon dude, use your head.
visionsofsolitude: Add
ShankKunt42: Cream cheese is the devil
somaek: Cream cheese is a sure-fire way to ruin cast iron. Try Velveeta instead.
