Recipe!
BROTH:
– pork/beef/chicken bones
– 2 white onions cut in half
– a few spring onions
– 2 carrots cut in half
– 1 chilli pepper
– 1 leek cut in half
– 1 ginger cut in half
– a few mushrooms
– parsley/coriander
– salt pepper
– 5 spice
– chilli powder
– something like a Knor stock cube for extra flavour if you want
Soak bones in cold water for an hour. Boil them for 15 mins. Rinse them and back in the pot. With the other ingredients. Bring to a boil, heat to low, pray to Cthuhlu and let it shimmer for as long as possible.
MEAT:
-meat of your choosing
-soya sauce
-worcestershire sauce
-salt/pepper/chilli powder
-whatever else spice you want (onion/ginger powder etc)
Cut meat in thin slices, marinate it for an hour and and sear it in a pan on high heat for a few minutes.
EGGS:
-Eggs (duh)
-soya sauce
-Mirin
-ginger finely chopped
-spring onions finely chopped
Boil everything but the eggs in a sauce pan for a few.minutes and let it cool completely.
Boil eggs for strictly 6 mins and put in an ice bath. Peel them and marinate them in the mix overnight.
NOODLES:
-Noodles (duh)
Cook the noodles…
PREPARATION:
Take a big bowl, pour a bit of soy sauce + sesame oil or a bit of the egg marinade.
Pour the broth. Noodles. Place the toppings ( meat, eggs, corn, bean sprouts, spring onions etc). Throw on top some sesame seeds, chopped parsley/coriander, chilli flakes, grated garlic/ginger. Follow your instincts!
Eat and cry because you made something amazing and it was definitely worth almost starving to death cooking this thing.
