If you love ginger stick to the recipe. For the ones who aren’t in love with ginger add less.
For garlic lovers increase the garlic while decreasing the ginger. That’s what I’m going to do next time. Yum!
I didn’t use star anise. I used cinnamon sticks. It was stated in the tips as an alternative.
I also used homemade chicken bone broth which I fully salted.
I added my own soft boiled egg. Right before the soup was finished. I place the peeled eggs in the broth to “marinate”. It was worth the extra step.
