bspurls: you really should fold the egg whites into the egg nutella mixture to get a soft fluffy soufflé. mixing them as much in the gif will make it tough.
sparkyjay23: Ingredients
for 1 serving
½ cup chocolate hazelnut spread
2 egg
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites and place into two bowls.
Mix the chocolate hazelnut spread into the bowl with the egg yolks.
In the second bowl, whisk 2 egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Fold ⅓ of the whipped egg whites into the chocolate/egg yolk mixture until fully incorporated.
Add the remaining egg whites to the mixture and fold gently,
but thoroughly, until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the mixture into a greased ramekin.
Clean the rims so the soufflé rises evenly, and bake for 15-17 minutes.
Serve immediately.
h2wahter: But is it good?
sweetgreggo: Can this be made with peanut butter?
WeirdWordsWhat: Am I missing something, or is this just chocolate-flavored eggs?
WandersFar: Looks gorgeous. And thanks for including the time and temperature in the GIF!
You might want to grease the ramekin with a little butter so it doesn’t stick. And maybe some sugar for a little exterior crunch. (Anne Burrell says it helps with rising.)
Some kind of sauce at the end might be nice, too. Raspberries?
forgiveangel: so will this taste more like a chocolate egg? Like how does it look like there is flour in it, but not actually have any flour in it.
ZombieFrogHorde: honestly not trying to be a turd but wouldnt it taste kinda crappy without some additional sugar or something? genuine question, it just seems like it would be very bland but i dont bake or anything so i have no idea.
pellizco: I have tried something similar and as much as i loove nutella it just isn’t good when mixed into baked goods.
thisimpetus: If masterchef has taught me anything it’s that you need to butter the inside of your ramekins and that you’re taking your life in your hands if you don’t make extras. That second bit might not be accurate…
BumWarrior69: Isn’t the point of a souffle to have a semi liquid inside? This seems more like a weird brownie than a souffle.
fantheoryaddict: I will be testing this with biscoff cookie butter today
eigenburg: I totally forgot that the egg whites were in the bowl and I thought they just stuck the beater in an empty bowl and some sort of cream appeared haha. I thought they were making a joke like ‘you can’t make souffle with only two ingredients you dummy!’
Beckels84: Chocolate flavored egg puff
legosexual: 50% Chocolate
50% Soufflé
MonkeyCB: So she didn’t need milk after all.
jokersleuth: ELI5, why do the egg whites turn foamy like that when scrambled too much?
DowagerCountess: Or you could make something not gross.
leshake: Butter the bowl and coat it with sugar so the souffle grips onto the sugar instead of the bowl and it will rise without breaking like you see in the gif.
I_like_cocaine: What’s the point of all these 2 ingredient or no bake recipes. Id rather put in extra work (or a couple more ingredients) for a tastier food
Subredhit: Damn, no whisk!
jimmygadget: Thx now I can be a Master Chef 😉
AimLowScoreHigh: Does anyone know of a replacement for eggs in these X-ingredient ‘baked good’ recipes? I react poorly to eggs. I love simple, low effort recipes like this but they always seem to be Flavor + sweetener + eggs.
redggit: I don’t have an oven but can you make a souffle using a microwave?
KrazyTrumpeter05: Wtf I had no idea egg whites could do that
BirdieStitching: This is probably a stupid question, but could you do this with a regular, nut free chocolate spread? Or is it the nuts that makes it work?
Nut allergies suck.
themaskedugly: 2 ingredients!*
^*2nd ^ingredient ^contains ^an ^ingredient ^list ^with ^40 ^different ^entries
benttwig33: Can this be made without Nutella? What could be a chocolate replacement?
46tori_artist: And by “chocolate hazelnut spread” they mean Nutella yeah?
Skullmonkey_: Would using a dairy free chocolate spread make any big differance to the finished product?
thegur90: Holy crap it’s actually 2 ingredients, nice!
Edit: A magnificent shitstorm has erupted from this comment, hope yall like it 😉
VitalElement101: 2 things ehh?
badmother: I was expecting
1) chocolate
2) soufflé
so, unexpected, but only because I expect the unexpected on reddit.
Riddle-Fiddle-Diddle: I count at least four ingredients in the last shot.
Salfriel: did he/she just turn EGG WHITE into creame? WHAT?
spunk_monk: Stop fucking around and just eat the Nutella straight out of the jar.
socsa: I mean, Nutella has more than two ingredients. by that logic all soufflés only have two ingredients.
jfk_47: Not really a chocolate soufflé. More like a hazelnut soufflé.
Heywood69: [Relevant](https://www.reddit.com/r/shittyfoodporn/comments/2xk7br/so_my_dessert_last_night_looked_like_a_worn_out/?ref=share&ref_source=link)
northcyning: I thought soufflés were runny in the middle? Also whisking this so hard will make that a dense cake. Gently folding will produce a fluffier mixture.
byebyebirdie69: Are the eggs room temperature?
Edit: I’m tempted but I’ve tried the 2 ingredient flatbread and it did not turn out as nice as in the gif. Tasty though but not same.
apintandafight: Could this be made with an egg replacement and hazelnut spread?
wild_starlight: Would a hot water bath help prevent uneven cooking in this case?
