thatscool22: it does taste pretty good. for someone in an apartment, it would be about the same as grilling. i recommend a cast iron skillet so it can go right from stove top to oven.
no1flyhalf: I’ve never tried it, but I’ve heard doing this method works really well.
I’ve *also* heard doing this method, but backwards, works super well also. Look up reverse searing. It’s basically fully cooking the steak in a lower heat oven, but then searing it in a super hot pan for about half a minute on each side to give it that great color. Try both methods and report back?
