GirlNumber20: …paraffin…? Can you just use butter or shortening instead?
cjr7: If you’re from Ohio, you probably have this recipe memorized.
108241: Ingredients:
1/2 pound margarine (2 sticks), melted
2 cups smooth peanut butter (One 18 Oz Jar)

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 bar paraffin wax
-Stir together the powdered sugar and margarine
-Add in the peanut butter
-Roll the dough into quarter size balls
-Chill for an hour
-Melt the paraffin wax and chocolate in a double-boiler
-Use a toothpick to lower them into the chocolate. [Leave the top uncovered for the distinct buckeye look](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aesculus_glabra#/media/File:Aesculus_glabra_seeds.png)
Medarco: Real talk, add rice krispies to the peanut butter mix.
A buckeye like this gif is painfully rich and cleaves to your mouth. You can eat like 4 in one sitting before vomiting.
A true buckeye with rice krispies is lighter and the texture is extremely satisfying. You can eat a near infinite number and feel only joy and content, rather than nausea.
