Homebrewandsteak: Not only a fun new idea, but the recipe for the chili is actually decent (could some chili peppers). I’ll try it this weekend!
Purdaddy: Should sautee half the onions first, and throw the spices in with that.
jedispyder: That looks pretty delicious! Never thought of using biscuits like that before.
If I try this, I’ll definitely add the cheese before baking to get it nice and gooey.
drocks27: **INGREDIENTS**
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 pound ground beef
* 1 large yellow onion, diced
* 1 green pepper, diced
* 2 tablespoons cumin
* 2 tablespoons chili powder
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* 1 (14-ounce) can fire-roasted tomatoes
* 2 cups tomato sauce
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1 (14-ounce) can kidney beans
* 1 (14-ounce) can black beans
* 1 (12-ounce) package buttermilk biscuit dough
* Shredded cheddar cheese, for garnish
* Sour cream, for garnish
* Chopped cilantro, for garnish
**INSTRUCTIONS**
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. In a medium Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Add the onions and peppers, and season with cumin, chili powder, cayenne, paprika, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 to 3 minutes.
1. Add in the fire-roasted tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth and both types of beans. Stir to combine, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Set aside to cool.
1. Once the chili has cooled slightly, press 1 biscuit into the bottom and up the sides of each well of a muffin tin. Place a large spoonful of chili into each cup. Bake for 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Garnish with shredded cheddar, a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro. Enjoy!

OneManGOONsquad: I’m envisioning this with cornbread. That would be awesome.
Kmattmebro: Inb4 militant chili connoisseurs.
DennisQuaaludes: Upvoted because this not only looks delicious, but the gif starts in a good place!
OrangeClyde: All that for a tablespoon of chili?
PM_ME_YOUR_NAMESS: Looks absolutely delicious! Going to try to make that once I get the chance.
worriedblowfish: Wouldnt the chili just pour out like it does in the end of the gif? This seems like it would be difficult to eat.
It needs more support than a buttermilk cupcake.
RedditRye: Looks great, more cheese – less cilantro for me
Diffident-Weasel: Looks good! I have a question about the formatting btw. Do you edit these gifs together yourself, or just post them as you find them?
MiPur: The preview shit is annoying.
extremx: All that effort to make good chili only to ruin it with Pillsbury biscuits?
While the chili is cooking, make some home-made biscuits.
cooley46307: If I try this, I’ll try it this weekend!
B33Jus: I appreciate that they actually spread the seasoning around instead of just dumping it all in one spot and then trying to mix it.
phphulk: So someone with normal eating habits help me out here. Cause that looks like 1 maybe two spoon fulls of chili and half a biscuit. Would a normal person eat one of these or two? How many of these is a meal? That pot of chili could probably serve 2/4 depending how overcast the day was. Need help.
Xujhan: Fun fact: if you have cumin, paprika, and cayenne then you’re already halfway to making your own chili powder. No real reason to shell out for the store-bought stuff when you can customize your own.
rhodypuppyfarts: r/FuckCilantro
EvenKeelOW: As a Texan, it ain’t chili if there is beans..
Scuderia2006: Or can of chili and biscuits saved you 3 hours
ohaiya: Why would someone take a bite and then put it down straight on the table?
Kids these days…
yallsuckbollocks: For the love of god, make your own buttermilk biscuits.
You’ll thank me later.
flyinhyphy: you know whats infinitely better and less time consuming? make the biscuits as you would and smash them into a bowl of chili. add cheese, sour cream, and green onions on top.
LaReddoux: How the fuck big is that person’s mouth to bite that much off..?
fnhs90: So happy it was simmered for two hours. Otherwise the beef would be really tough
ubccompscistudent: Note: Paprika =/= smoked paprika. Smoked paprika is amazing when rubbed on meat, and maybe there’s some other good uses for it. I used it in a chili once by accident and it was awful. So just a note that only follow this if you want a smoky chili.
OP did you really mean smoked paprika?
ubspirit: I like everything in this but the bell pepper. In my opinion that does not belong in chili
unbannabledan: This is disgusting and is a long ass gif of chili. The biscuits are pilsbury so you may as well just skip making anything and buy some hormel.
InduoRob: Using a wooden spoon for meat? Huh
