kimbleb33: Step 1: Make healthy pancakes
Step 2: Drench in maple syrup
Step 3: Profit?
Vidar34: > Banana omelet utterly drowned in maple syrup.
HEALTHY!
potatitties: There’s something so soothing and magical about watching pancakes fluff up
YuriLibitina: I like how the ingredients are sort of healthy, but then the guy proceeds to flood the whole plate with a bucket of maple syrup
???
Biffburk: These all look awful. The banana egg pancakes taste gross, I’ve made them before.
I like how they refer to the peanut butter ones as “energy pancakes” because they have more calories than normal pancakes.
70g self raising flour, 100ml skim milk, 2 egg whites, pinch of salt and you’ve got a stack of normal tasting pancakes for 300ish calories.
SPZX: Oh boy. Banana omelettes.
-beanie: I’ve made those first ones (the banana + egg) before and they’re fucking disgusting. It doesn’t matter what you do they just taste like eggy bananas.
Add cocoa powder? Chocolatey eggy bananas.
Add cinnamon? Cinnamony eggy bananas.
Add protein powder? Vaguely vanilla flavored eggy bananas that are dry as hell.
Just work regular pancakes into your daily calorie count and top with fruit instead of syrup if your goal is to eat more vitamins.
JohnGonad: Those oat ones seem interesting
54_46: Thank you for this. You are out here doing good work.
Radman74: Yuk
BrotasticalManDude: Just a warning, that banana will stick to ur pan like a mofo.
ninguen: I have one simple recipe that is really yummy and really healthy:
– 1 banana
– 2 egg whites
– 3 tablespoons of rolled oats
– 1 teaspoon of low-fat no added sugar cocoa
– 1/2 teaspoon of cinamon powder (optional, but it gives the pancakes a sweet touch without using sugar)
Yum yum!
anonymousmanitee: These are stupid. They’re more like weird omelettes. A good pancake only needs egg, sugar, milk, flour and baking power – none of which are unhealthy. I guess sugar is, but you can substitute that with something else (or omit and drench with maple syrup lol). Use wholemeal flour, and you can substitute the milk for your liquid of choice. The real secret is in the creaming of the eggs, and sifting of flour. Beat those eggs until they’re golden, fluffy and creamy, and sift the flour, and you’ll get fluffy light pancakes all the time. Have been perfecting these fuckers since I was 5 lol. Cooking them in a buttered pan is ideal
little-hel: The banana one is quite good actually, but I feel like it doesn’t really fit with maple syrup.
You can also add a few ingredients to the base recipe, adding just a bit of cinnamon makes it better in my opinion.
If you want it to keep you full for a bit longer you can also add 2-3tbs of flour.
Oh and you are supposed to use overripe bananas so it’s a nice way to not throw out food.
