leducdeguise: Call me a guacanazi if you want, I don’t care. But guacamole is so simple already when you do the full recipe that making it like that is just laziness. Adding diced tomato will take only 3min more.
also this avocado doesn’t seem ripe enough with a skin this green
Guacamole is serious business.
DoctBranhattan: Typically one uses a ripe avocado, and I add diced jalepeno.
To store it in the fridge, put it in the smallest plastic container that it will fill, squirt an antioxidant on top, you could use 2-mercaptoethanol, but thats super toxic and smells terrible, so I recommend more lime juice, and press a piece of plastic wrap onto the surface, squeezing out all the air, then the lid of the container, sealing the edges of the plastic wrap. With the oxygen in the air excluded, and a good seal, the like juice will keep it from browning for at least a day or two.
