mystik3309: Looks exactly like bang bang shrimp. Which is one of my favorite things to eat in this world. So damn good.
Edit: op’s recipe comment is showing in their history. Definitely bang bang shrimp. I highly recommend it. I copied their recipe. Maybe it will show up on my comment.
Ingredients**
* 1/2 cup mayonnaise
* 1 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
* 1/4 cup sriracha
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
* 1/2 cup cornstarch
* 1-2 cups flavorless oil for frying
* 2 cups greens
* 2 green onions, chopped
**Instructions**
1. Mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and salt and set aside
2. In a deep pan, heat enough oil to cover the shrimp to about 350 degrees
3. Coat the shrimp in cornstarch and fry about 2 minutes Fry in small batches and do not overcrowd the pan
4. Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce
5. Put the greens in a bowl, top with the shrimp, and garnish with the green onions
QuestionableMotifs: I thought I was in r/gifrecipes and waited for longer than I care to admit for the gif to load and start playing… maybe I need to eat something.
Doth_protest_2_much: Is this like bang bang shrimp from Bonefish?
theaesthene: No recipe?
*edit, nvm there is a recipe according to OP’s post history. Just not showing up for some reason.
stupid_name: I use a box of breaded baked popcorn shrimp instead of frying. Sauce is the same.
notanimposter: Man that looks good. Makes me wish I still ate shrimp!
likeasif: Oh man this looks good, and I’m not a big fan of shrimp at all. This I will be willing to try though
dinneratthezoo: I literally almost drooled enough on my computer that it may have shorted out. XD
m3n00bz: Want.
Sriracha-Enema: Have had these at many restaurants, Yaga’s in Galveston added sliced pickled banana peppers to the plate. Definitely a welcome addition
Wicck: This looks incredible. Think it would work with tofu or cod? They’re what I have at home. (I don’t eat much shellfish, anyway.)
mmmmmmmchicken: Def making this on the weekend.
HappyCookingWorld: This looks delicious and its easy to put together,first I thought you used Coconut milk by looking at the picture then after you posted the recipe I found its Mayonnaise :-).
worldsfantasticcook1: so simple and good
CeeMooreButts: I will try this soon. I’ve seen some copycat recipes that add peanut butter as well, but have never actually tried it. Absolutely one of my fav dishes at Bonefish as well.
yeswecanne: I’ve heard it as firecracker, bang bang, and boom boom. All very similar and insanely delicious
