Dininiful: I would make this more often if only shrimp wasn’t so goddamn expensive
rjoker103: I would take the shrimp out once they’re cooked and just cook the sauce mixture until it thickens and is reduced a bit (or do it side-by-side on two separate pans). Then add in the cooked shrimp and toss briefly. Otherwise, the shrimps are going to be way overcooked.
gheeboy: I would like to query the low garlic levels please
lilbronto: Why olive oil though? Wouldn’t sesame oil be a better match?
AngeloPappas: Think this would be ok if I skipped the ginger?

**Honey Garlic Shrimp**
Makes 2 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
**Ingredients**
* 3 Tablespoons honey
* 1 Tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
* ¼ teaspoon crushed chili flakes (optional)
* 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
* 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced (about 1 Tablespoon)
* ¾ pound medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
* 1 Tablespoon olive oil
* salt, to taste
* ground black pepper, to taste
* 2 Tablespoons sliced green onion (optional garnish)
* cooked brown rice (to serve)
* broccoli or other veggies (to serve)
**Preparation**
1. Whisk honey, soy sauce, chili flakes (if using), ginger, and garlic, together in a medium bowl. Set aside.
1. In another medium bowl, add shrimp and olive oil. Season the shrimp with salt and ground pepper and toss to coat.
1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Place the shrimp into the pan in an even layer. Cook the shrimp on one side until nicely seared, about 1-2 minutes. Flip the shrimp over and cook for another minute or until they’re just cooked but still a little translucent in the center.
1. Pour in the honey garlic marinade and cook until the shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute more. If desired, remove the shrimp from pan so they don’t overcook, and reduce the sauce a little to thicken it (keep an eye on the sauce while reducing, the honey makes the sauce easy to burn if you forget about it on the stove).
1. Serve the shrimp with the reduced sauce over brown rice and veggies. Garnish with green onion, if desired.
spacemanspiff30: Honey garlic rubber is more like it. Those shrimp are cooked way too long.
aflactheduck99: Quick, pretty simple and tasty. 10/10 for me.
lewdite: Every time I try to add a sugary sauce to my pan it leads to a burnt, sticky mess. Am I just using too much heat?
DrunkenMasterII: Is there anything that doesn’t work with this sauce? It’s everywhere!
SeaSwine91: Solid recipe for the most part. I’d personally recommend you don’t over-cook the shrimp to the point they get that cardboard consistency, but to each their own.
DrCool2016: This looks delicious
lategame: are you taking the guts out of these shrimp first? What’s the cleaning process?
Demonox01: I make this sauce all the time and its super ridiculously good. Honey garlic chicken with instant rice and a vegetable takes like 15m to make.
Infin1ty: So is Tip Hero the new Greg? I know he’s still posting occasionally, and I’m not complaining, but Tip Hero posts are like the only thing that show up on my front page here lately.
jnFamousDaN: I’d make this if I wasn’t allergic to shrimp. This loooks soo goooddd
flomoromo: Any idea what I could use in place of the soy sauce since I can’t eat soy?
itsbobs: ‘Honey i made the Garlic Shrimp’
worhola: I think cooking down the sauce with the shrimp would make them tough. They did sprinkle salt over the shrimp but if they didn’t let them sit like that to brine the salt is just enhancing flavor and not brining the shrimp, which would help prevent them being tough, even if they are overcooked. Shrimp are delicate. I would suggest reducing the sauce in a separate pot and tossing the cooked shrimp in the sauce. I have not made this, so I do not know.
stenrude: Did not dip into sauce at the end. 1/10
theoneirologist: Looks delicious. Wish some of these gifrecipes would include the measurements though.
Thisisaterriblename: Do you want ant tought shrimp? Because this is how you get tough shrimp.
I would suggest adding the sauce the first time you have to slip the shrimp over.
Depass11: HOL UP
smell_e: Oh, you know that line on the top of the shrimp? That’s feces.
mukaofssn: For some reason, i read the title as horny garlic shrimp.
Werewolf35b: That looks….that looks…good.
Edit: thanks for the gold kind stranger!
thisisnotjr: I read ‘horny garlic shrimp’, I have problems.
dirt__w1zard: Yummy, rubber shrimp.
cheesycent5050: I’ll I’m seeing is a pile of salt garnished with shrimp
supercow21: Don’t eat shrimp you’re killing the ocean.

fastal_12147: get a whisk. using a spat to stir a sauce takes so much more time.
Tonezinator: What, no slow cooker? Don’t use Olive oil, use something like grapeseed oil. And cook the sauce until its reduced hallway and then add the shrimp. Those shrimp are going to be so overcooked.
Snegbog: 🤢
Ferragho: Disgusting. Where’s the vegan recipes?
elhawiyeh: Way too much honey. Blech.
Scaredycrow: >Honey Garlic Disgusting Sea Bug

chefbda: Where is the crockpot?
